You might be here because...

The anxiety doesn't turn off.

The anger keeps showing up in places you don't want it to.

Something happened that you haven't fully dealt with, and it's still affecting you now.

Or maybe nothing dramatic happened, you're just not feeling like yourself, and you can't figure out why.

Whatever brought you here, that's enough of a reason to reach out.

How We Work Together

Trauma-Focused CBT

CBT helps you look honestly at the thoughts and patterns that are driving how you feel and respond — and work toward ones that are more grounded and realistic. The trauma-focused version takes into account what you've been through, not just what you're thinking now.

Somatic Experiencing

Sometimes what we're carrying shows up in the body before it shows up in words — tension, a tight chest, a constant sense of being on edge. Somatic Experiencing is a body-aware approach that helps your nervous system process what it's been holding. We work at your pace.

Talk Therapy

Sometimes you need space to think through what's going on without someone telling you what to do. Talk therapy gives you that — an objective conversation that helps you approach challenges more clearly.

I've been working in mental health for a long time, across settings you might not expect, including wilderness therapy programs, hospitals, and schools.

That range matters to me, because people don't fit into one box, and neither does good therapy.

I'm a licensed clinical social worker in New Jersey, with certifications in Trauma-Focused CBT and Somatic Experiencing.

My approach is direct and practical. I'm not going to hand you a list of coping strategies and call it a day... we'll actually work through what's going on.

What Clients Have Shared

"Before meeting Ian, I worked with two other individuals and was skeptical about finding someone again for the third time. I decided to reach out to Ian after being impressed by his background and he has been working with me for almost a year. In that timeframe, Ian has helped me tremendously and I feel that I am truly healing. I definitely recommend working with him."

You don't have to do this alone.

When you're ready, I'm here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do You Accept Insurance?

Yes. I accept most major insurances through Headway. You can check your specific coverage directly on my Headway profile before booking.

How much does therapy cost without insurance?

Self-pay sessions are $150 for a 60-minute session. If you're unsure about insurance, Headway makes it easy to check your eligibility before you commit to anything.

Do you offer telehealth therapy in New Jersey?

Yes — all sessions are conducted via telehealth, which means secure video sessions from wherever you are in New Jersey. No commute, no waiting room.

Can I do therapy from home?

Absolutely. All of my sessions are remote. As long as you're in New Jersey and have a stable internet connection, we can work together.
